WiseBuys is a portal providing all retailers with a unique opportunity to promote their products and services.

There are many reasons for retailers to support the WiseBuys portal, including the fact that it provides:

• Exposure to fully qualified potential customers. Consumers browsing the WiseBuys portal are doing it because they are in the market to buy something. This makes WiseBuys more potent than other forms of Internet advertising (such as banner ads) or traditional media.
• Access by large and small retailers. The structure of WiseBuys makes it possible for all retailers to promote their products on a relatively even playing field. All you need to do is produce a brochure that contains genuine specials and submit it to WiseBuys. We will then include in our collection of brochures. There is not even a requirement for you to print and distribute the 'hardcopy' brochure if you don't want to.
• Fully featured brochures. Not all retailers can afford to provide a sophisticated brochure mechanism within their own website. The WiseBuys portal presents brochures in a format that includes previews, detailed images, classification of contents, an index, integrated store locators, and automatic checking of availability dates. There are even more sophisticated features planned for future releases.
• Integration with retailer's own website. Once a brochure has been loaded into WiseBuys it can be accessed directly from a retailer's own website. The URL used to access the brochure will generally be of the form "retailerx.wisebuys.com.au". This means that retailers that support WiseBuys will automatically be able to incorporate all of the features of the WiseBuys brochure system within their own website.
• Automatic display on FindNearest™ Shopping Centre service. The FindNearest Shopping Centre service allows the customer to search for all shopping centres near to them,. The system returns the retailers in those centres, AND displays all catalogues of retailers using WiseBuys.
• Presentation of brochures to a defined geographical area. The WiseBuys engine supports a 'spatial search' for brochures. The system has the ability to identify the location of individual stores (based on their latitude and longitude) and to associate individual brochures with these locations. This means that consumers can identify the brochures associated with their local retailers - they do not need to be distracted by brochures for retailers that are not anywhere near them.

Fee Structure

There is currently no fee associated with the presentation of brochures within the WiseBuys portal. Any retailer can submit their brochure to WiseBuys and subject to the terms and conditions associated with the website it will be displayed at no charge. However, not all of the features associated with the WiseBuys system may be available to all retailers. There are some features which are considered 'optional' and for which a fee may apply.

In order to have a store locator as part of a brochure, a retailer must subscribe to the FindNearest store locator service. The additional benefits of subscribing to this service is that it also provides a store locator service that can be integrated into a retailer's own website. The URL used to access the store locator will generally be of the form "retailerx.findnearest.com.au". This means that retailers that support both WiseBuys and FindNearest will automatically be able to incorporate all of the features of both FindNearest and WiseBuys within their own website.

Burnett Innovation reserve the right to charge a service fee for loading brochures into WiseBuys that do not comply with the submission guidelines presented below, or which require significantly more work to load than is anticipated by the WiseBuys submission mechanism.

Submission Guidelines

The preferred format for submission of brochure material is for one image of each page to be provided in JPEG format:

Dimension : approximately 750W x 1000H pixels
Size : approximately 150KB

Brochures in PDF format can be submitted and will be converted at no charge, providing there are no problems extracting the preview and detailed images required for the WiseBuys system. Retailers will be notified of any such problem and their consent will be sought before any charges are incurred.

By submitting content to WiseBuys it is assumed that retailers have read and agree to all the terms associated with the presentation of material within the WiseBuys portal.
